A calf catcher is designed to speed up catching and processing calves during calving season.  For cattlemen and cattlewomen, it can be an essential piece of equipment to get the job done in calving season.

A calf catcher keeps ranchers safe and reduces the risk of injury when working with calves. Mother cows can be protective and sometimes aggressive when a rancher needs to separate the calf to work with it.

Calving season can be busy and hectic, the cage keeps the rancher protected form loose cattle in the fields and pastures so he/she can focus on working the calf.  

Some calf catchers are stationary used in one location, but EZE-Catcher calf catcher is a mobile calf catcher that hooks up to a Quad / ATV or Side-By-Side / UTV enabling a rancher to capture calves out in various pastures.   

Eze-Catcher is a side mounted calf catcher; one side hooks up to the ATV or UTV and the other side has a tire that allows the cage to be driven out into the fields. 

The cage is designed with welded steel construction to reduce noise and rattles.

A quieter calf catcher reduces stress in the animal, the rattling and loud noise could startle and stress the calves. 

The cage has two twin door that create a wide opening, making it easier to capture the calf without injuring it.  Hands-free operation, the doors are operated with a foot pedal.    

A small interior cage enables the rancher to contain the calf, making it easier to tag and care for it.   The carry cage is also used to transport the calf and is useful for leading a mother cow, who will follow the cage with her calf in it.

The calf catcher is designed to fit most common models of ATV/UTV on the market.

We have three styles that fit most common models on the market.   Front rack mount and Front bumper mount.

The front & rear mounting bracket assembly adjusts up and down and in and out to accommodate the height and length of the ATV/UTV the calf catcher is being mounted to.  

For ATVs or UTVs that are outside the scope of common models we can fabricate a custom bracket, no problem.  

You can, but you’ll need to purchase an additional mounting bracket.  Then you can easily switch between the ATV and UTV by hooking up with the ball couplers.

The initial set up requires that you bolt on the front and rear bracket assemblies to the calf catcher cage and the vehicle. 

Owners manuals can be downloaded and they provide detailed instructions.

To use the calf catcher you hook it to/from the ATV/UTV  with the ball coupler, just as if you were hooking up a trailer to a ball hitch.

The calf catcher cage is 7’ Long x 4’6” Wide x 5’ High, providing lots of room to move about as you work with calf.

The calf catcher weighs approx. 650 - 730 lbs depending on the type of mounting bracket and scale option.

It’s shipped on a pallet and takes up about 5’ of deck space

The calf carrier cage is 13” Wide x 40” Long x 32” H.

The small cage can be used to safely restrain the calf, making it easier for you to tag, tattoo and check on it’s health.

Transporting a calf with the calf catcher is easy.  There is a small inner carry cage, that locks securely containing the calf as you move it to a new pasture or a warming hut.   The EZE-Catcher calf catcher is designed with sturdy steel welded construction which reduces the rattling and noise helping keep the calf calm during transportation.  

If you need to move the mother cow to another pasture or to a barn put the calf into the carry cage and the momma will follow her calf in the cage.

Yes, the small inner cage is designed to safely contain the newborn calf so you an relocate it to a warming hut, barn or different pasture.

Yes! That an important safety feature of EZE-Catcher calf catcher.  The small calf carrier cage has an interior door and easy-release exterior door. You can quickly send the calf back out to the mother cow without having to step outside the protection of the cage

The digital scale has a 3000 lb capacity and utilizes the inner calf carrier cage to weigh the calf.

This integrated system enables a rancher to work in the field, check the calf’s health and weigh them without moving them to a new location.
